theyeasticando: Chocolate coffee cake, 11.06.11 Remind me never to let you goons talk me out of baking my own birthday cake again. Maah came to town to celebrate my birthday a little bit early, and we decided to tackle this decadent beast. It’s a lot of steps, but nothing particularly grueling, and it yields some surprisingly delicate flavors and great textures. We had our doubts there for a minute with the buttercream, but it all worked out in the end. Now someone please come eat some of this so I don’t injure myself.
